Do I need a fishing license?

Yes you do need a license. If you are fishing for salmon, steelhead, or sturgeon you also need a tag. If you are only going to fish once or twice during the year a one day fishing license may be a better buy.

Do I need rain gear?

Not always, however I bring mine everyday in the boat. It is always better to have than not. There is plenty of room in the boat to store it if you don’t need it. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Do I need to bring a lunch?

No we provide lunch on all our full day trips. Each day there will be coffee, muffins, snacks, and lunch. We also will have pop and bottled water on board. Feel free to bring anything else you may want, except bananas.

How long will we be out fishing?

I always try to keep people out on the water for eight hours.

What happens with our catch?

I process the catch at the end of the day, and send it home with you in gallon zip lock bags.

About Your Guide

My name is Shane Groshong. I've lived in Oregon my entire life, and grew up in the outdoors. I live in Eugene, which is a central location to the many places I fish in our great state.

My focus is to catch fish, but also to ensure that you have a good time. I do my best to accomplish this with everyone who spends a day in my boat.
I look forward to fishing with you.

Booking

Fish-On Northwest works on a first come, first serve basis. To book your date just call or email the dates you would like to fish. Upon booking your day, we require a deposit of $100.00 to secure the date. After we receive your deposit, a receipt and further trip information will be sent to you.

Gear

You bring....

rain gear
warm clothing
license and tag (or one day license)

Rates

Our rate, based on an eight hour day, is $200.00 per person.

Cancellations

A full refund of your deposit will be mailed to you if cancel 30 days prior to the date. We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather or other unsafe conditions. Upon cancellation, we will either return your deposit, or reschedule your trip.
