My name is Shane Groshong. I live with my wife and two girls, and our black lab named Grunden. I started my guide service after graduating from the University of Oregon in 1996, along with my wife Jenny. After graduation Jenny and I got married, and started our life together. I began guiding, while my wife went back to school for her Master in Elementary Education. Soon after that Jenny started her career as a teacher.

Since then Jenny and I started our family with our two girls, Libby and Peyton. We feel blessed that we have found a balance between work and family. Each summer we spend time camping and spending time with friends. I am now in my 17th year of guiding and couldn’t wish for a better job.

About Your Guide

My name is Shane Groshong. I've lived in Oregon my entire life, and grew up in the outdoors. I live in Eugene, which is a central location to the many places I fish in our great state.

My focus is to catch fish, but also to ensure that you have a good time. I do my best to accomplish this with everyone who spends a day in my boat.
I look forward to fishing with you.

Booking

Fish-On Northwest works on a first come, first serve basis. To book your date just call or email the dates you would like to fish. Upon booking your day, we require a deposit of $100.00 to secure the date. After we receive your deposit, a receipt and further trip information will be sent to you.

Rates

Our rate, based on an eight hour day, is $200.00 per person.

Cancellations

A full refund of your deposit will be mailed to you if cancel 30 days prior to the date. We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to inclement weather or other unsafe conditions. Upon cancellation, we will either return your deposit, or reschedule your trip.
